My heart belongs to the glorious Great Lakes state of Michigan. My spirit soars within the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona, down to the depths of the Grand Canyon. I love all things British, particularly my husband—straight from the ancient streets of Stratford-Upon-Avon. And I’ve felt privileged to share yoga in them all. I am a natural-born teacher and sharer of wisdom—and wherever I’ve found myself, that’s where I’ve taught yoga. I have a deep and profound love of animals, and an innate reverence for the earth. I’ve been ‘green’ all my life, long before the term was used. I have a beautiful daughter and a wonderful family, and I pray for world peace with every breath I take.
I have intense passions and talents, many of which include writing; teaching hatha yoga; handwriting, personality, and dream analysis; and simply sharing insightful information with people. I’m a soul proprietor and a connectionist. I believe so deeply in the interconnection of all beings with nature, that I can hardly stand watching what humanity is doing. But I truly believe in the overall power of love, so I move forward in positivity, careful of where I place my karma.
At about age 15, I discovered a PBS TV show called Lilias, Yoga and You! with Ohio’s own Lilias Folan. Through her show, and for 29 years, Lilias was known to Americans as the “First Lady of Yoga,” and I was hooked! During those early days, I studied with many different teachers in areas of Plymouth, Ann Arbor and Detroit, Michigan. By the early 80’s, I discovered my own innate ability as a yoga teacher. I was thrilled to produce my own series of hatha yoga programs on public access TV in the Farmington area of Michigan.
